Temple University’s College of Public Health is one of the largest schools of public health in the country. It’s also one of the most unique, a place where a singular blend of disciplines is defining the future of public health. PUBLIC HEALTH TO CHANGE THE WORLD

While the school grew in size and recognition, until recently it had no defining geography – no corner of Temple’s expansive urban campus that it could call its own. A visionary plan gave the College a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to create a magnificent new home at the center of Temple University’s Main Campus, and to strengthen the experiences of its students and the teaching and research of its faculty as never before. We helped the College leverage this historic moment for greater visibility and engagement, inside and outside the University. To galvanize support for the plans among the College’s Board of Visitors, we created a campaign identity, core messages, and leadership phase case materials. The campaign’s bold theme, Public Health to Change the World, speaks not only to the College’s global impact but to its impact in the neighborhoods surrounding Temple and the City of Philadelphia itself.

Meeting and interviewing the students we cast in the campaign’s launch video confirmed that each one of them are already changing worlds.
Inside spread for Temple College of Public Health
“As a nurse, you are aware of all the resources that you have, who you have, and what you need. When I travel internationally, I see some of the most devastating things that you can see, as far as lack of resources. Healthcare, even just a basic form of healthcare, should be a human right. I plan to work in impoverished communities in Philadelphia and also bring more healthcare and resources to developing countries internationally.”

Temple is one step closer to having a center for interprofessional education, research and engagement at the heart of its campus that will train the health professionals the world needs for decades to come.
“Being part of the college’s growth— seeing the incredible students, world class faculty and leadership, and commitment to the community of North Philadelphia—has been a life changing experience. The ability to make a gift, to be a part of something that is growing every day, has been a whole lot of fun.”
