National Museum of Women in the Arts
An invitation to soar.
Truly unique places are rare. The National Museum of Women in the Arts is one of them: the only major museum in the world completely dedicated to the work of women artists. More than a museum, NMWA is a catalyst for social change and the center of a worldwide movement that champions women through the arts.

Campaign communications plan
More than half of all visual artists working today identify as women, yet less than 15 percent of all the art displayed in U.S. museums is by women artists.
A Reimagined Center of Creativity
As campaign communications counsel, we crafted the case to restore the Museum’s historic 1908 building, and then wrapped that story in Space to Soar, a campaign identity that helped it take flight. A suite of sleek tools gave advancement officers what they needed to succeed, and our comprehensive campaign communications plan provided strategies to guide NMWA through complex terrain — a two-year closure for renovation that coincided with the launch of the campaign. We added spark mid-campaign with an award-winning invitation to support the campaign, geared towards NMWA fans nationwide.
Thanks to the success of the Space to Soar campaign, NMWA now welcomes eager visitors through a renovated entry foyer into the impressive, refurbished Great Hall, from which museum-goers can explore the updated galleries, participate in interactive experiences, and visit the state-of-the-art Gloria and Dan Logan Learning Commons for workshops, studio sessions, and curated conversations.

“This expansive transformation heralds a new era for the National Museum of Women in the Arts. Our building is the flagship for our mission, which resonates today more than ever.”
